Diving in Madagascar

The Nosy Hara Bay has been recognized by the Malagasy authorities, and the Wildlife Conservation Society, as an exceptional area in terms of biodiversity, and therefore has been classified as a protected area.

No dive center or charter vessel has ever operated in this area.
The meeting of the Mozambique Channel and the Indian Ocean, in this particular zone, creates great interest for both visitors and divers.

For divers, this creates the opportunity, to encounter in a sheltered area, pelagic fauna from the Eastern coast of Madagascar (where sea conditions and dives are often difficult and this time of the year), but also perfectly preserved corals.

Only 40% of the bay has been explored to date. Our expedition will therefore offer the opportunity to dive on both recognized and unexplored sites.
Our dive sites will be as follow : St Sébastien Cape, Courrier Bay : Nosy Faty, Nosy Vaha, Nosy Hara and Nosy Hao.
Reef systems made up of coral and stone offer some varied dives along large walls, in caves or on reef tops. At relatively shallow depths, all species of fish found in the Indian Ocean can be seen : surgeon fish, wrasse, sweetlips, turtles. Predators are also present : barracuda, snaper, marlin, tuna, reef sharks, hammerhead sharks, eagle rays and stingrays. From June to September, mantas, humpback whales and sometimes whale sharks can be seen in the Courrier bay.
