In addition to her undeniable charm, excellent sea keeping ability and manoeuvrability, the Shakti is the only charter vessel that remains in the Rajah Empat region all year round. The solid experience and local knowledge of the western and Indonesian crew are major considerations for you to fully appreciate the beauty of the archipelago. The vessel is exclusively chartered by Abyss and includes a minimum of 1 Abyss guide.
The Shakti is a magnificent Indonesian schooner of 33m in length with a beam of 7m and built entirely of wood in 2001. One of the pioneers of diving in Papua Barat, Dave, captain and owner, welcomes you aboard to share his knowledge of the region. The vessel accommodates 12 divers in 6 air conditioned cabins sharing 3 toilets and showers. Full of charm, the spacious deck is equipped with a shower, grand saloon/bar and a shaded area for relaxation. Kayaks, TV/DVD, HI-FI, 350hp motor, cruise speed of 10 knots, 2 generators available 24h/24h. Optimal security is provided with HF Radio, GPS, depth sounders, satellite phone, and oxygen therapy kit.
For the diving there are 2 tenders, 2 compressors with sufficient tanks to easily fill between dives. Nitrox is available for divers holding this certification.
