Although it is thought that the best period to visit Malapascua and Leyte Island is between January and May, our long-term experience in the area shows us that the best conditions for diving are between February and April especially because of more frequent encounters with the thresher and whale sharks. Contrary to the North of the country, this region does not have a pronounced monsoon period. From June to November there is a more humid period and there are regular storms from mid-October to December. Water and air temperatures are similar all year round.
